LIVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Hardware
LIVE
- Computer Resources:
- Processor and Memory: Based on the number of instances running.
- Monitor Resolution: 1920 × 1080 or more
- Web Browser:
- Chyron LIVE functionality depends on the compatibility of the web browser with WebCodecs. Users are advised to use the most up-to-date version of a browser that supports WebCodecs (e.g., Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).
- Note: Browser plugins could interfere with LIVE processes.
- Optional:
- Stream Deck or similar.
- ShuttlePro or similar.
- Encoder (requirements below).
PRIME
- Minimum:
- Intel Quad-Core Processor

- NVIDIA GPU (Support OpenGL 4.5)
- 64 GB+ Hard Drive Space
- Monitor Resolution: 1920 × 1080 or more
- Recommended:
- Intel Quad-Core Processor: 8 cores or more.
- Microsoft Windows 10 (64 bit) Latest Update
- 32 GB of RAM
- NVIDIA GPU with at least 4 GB or more of GPU VRAM (Quadro M4000 or better).
- 64 GB+ Hard Drive Space.
- Monitor Resolution: 1920 × 1080 or more (For best UI performance, set the display resolution to 1920 × 1080).
Encoder Requirements
Streaming Protocols
- One of the following protocols:
- SRT Listener
- RIST
- RTP
- ZIXI Push.
Video Configuration
- Codec H.264 (H.265 not supported for telestration and instant replay)
- Resolution: 1920×1080, 1280×720
- Color Space: YUV
- Chroma Subsampling: 4:2:0 is recommended, other types may have performance issues (not supported by NVidia decoder)
- Scan Type: Progressive or Interlaced
- Frame Rates: 30, 50, 59.94, 60
- Frame Rate Mode: Constant
- Bit Rate Mode: Constant
- All the video inputs should use the same video configuration.
Audio Configuration
- Codec AAC
- Sampling: 48kHz
- Single audio track with mono or stereo layout.
Network Requirements
Bandwidth
- Clients:
- Minimum 50 Mbps (download) / 5 Mbps (upload) for smooth streams (2 Clients)
- Minimum 75 Mbps (download) / 7 Mbps (upload) for smooth streams (4 Clients)
- Minimum 125 Mbps (download) / 15 Mbps (upload) for smooth streams (6 Clients)
- Minimum 175 Mbps (download) / 25 Mbps (upload) for smooth streams (8 Clients)
- Minimum 250 Mbps (download) / 40 Mbps (upload) for smooth streams (10 Clients)
- Additional Notes:
- A client is an open browser tab. Consider upload bandwidth requirements for camera streams, depending on the number of camera inputs and encoder configuration, including input stream bit rates. This is particularly important if camera streams are not provided via a dedicated network.
Firewall and Ports
- Ensure necessary ports are open for inbound and outbound traffic.
