Overview
Content for the Event Workflow should conform to the requirements for either HD-SD or GPU Workflows, depending on the Type of Player output desired.
After creating content meeting the Click Effects PRIME video and audio requirements, the next step is to import or record content and prepare it for playback.
Upload Content
Import files
Import files into empty Media buttons:
- Right-click the Media button.
- Select the Import Files, a file browser window appears.
- Browse to and select the file(s) that you would like to import, and then click OK. You can select one file or multiple files. Click Effects PRIME imports the files into your system.
- After a successful import is complete, a popup notification briefly appears, and the graphic(s) appear in the Media Button.
- If an import is unsuccessful, then an alert is displayed.
To learn more about the Media Button context (right-click) menu, see Media Buttons. |
Drive requirements
Click Effects PRIME requires that media content files reside on a hard drive that is fast enough for video playback. At import time, Click Effects PRIME interrogates the source location of any type of media, and if necessary, then copies it to the Media Drive.
Best Practice: Always copy media files onto the Media Drive of your Click Effects PRIME Workflow prior to import. This avoids additional copy times during the import process. |
File formats and media types
It is important to understand how file formats translate to Media Types when using the Click Effects PRIME Workflow’s import functionality.
Note: When importing image files directly into the media page, the files are imported as Stills rather than Graphics objects. To use Image files as Graphics, or to import PRIME Designer Scenes:

To learn more about Images see Image Object. |
Recording overview
The Click Effects PRIME HD-SDI and Event Workflows can accept both Video and Audio signals for recording, to create new Media buttons. The input signal must be valid in order to record.
Best Practice: Chyron recommends that a Genlock signal be present and locked to assure the best quality recording. |
Video input source
Chyron recommends that the HD-SDI and Event Workflows’ input signal matches the playback video format. However, the Workflow can be configured to accept incoming video from multiple video formats. Note, however, that media buttons created with mismatched formats might be stretched, skewed, or off speed.
HD-SDI and Event Workflows accept incoming video signals in the SDI format, for Standard Definition and High-Definition sources, via a BNC cable.
Audio input sources
Click Effects PRIME can record Audio as an Audio button, or as embedded audio within a Video.
Depending on the type of system, there are two audio source types:
- Embedded Audio is contained in the video stream.
- AES/EBU Audio is discreet from the video and requires additional BNC cable connections.
When recording Video using the AES/EBU input, the audio will be embedded into the video file.
NOTE: Once you have imported or recorded a media file into the Workflow, moving the file to a new location breaks the connection, and the Media Button or buttons will not work. |

Organizer Mode: Overview
The default mode of the Click Effects PRIME Workflow is Player Mode. In Player Mode, clicking a Media button moves the Media button to either Preview or to Program.

Enter Organizer Mode, and then at the top of the screen, click the ARRANGE button.
Document image
The Page Arranger displays a grid that represents all Media Banks and Media Pages available to the current User, as well as an Archive Bank that holds fourteen Media Pages. The Archive is useful if you have seasonal media items that you want to be stored offline or non-visible. When Media Pages are stored in the Archive, they are not visible on a Media Bank.

- Pick-and-Place finds a currently empty space(s) and places a copied or pasted Media button(s) into that space(s), leaving existing Media buttons in their current locations.
- Displace starts from either the location where you moved a Media button or right-clicked and selected Paste, or from the Media button where you dropped the copy using the Click-and-Drag method. The moved/copied Media button drops into that location and shifts the Media Button currently in that location one position to the right. When you paste multiple Media buttons, then the same number of Media buttons shift.
To move one or more media buttons:
- Select the Media button(s) that you would like to move.
- Click and drag the Media button(s) to the new desired location within the page, or drop the selected items on a new Media Page.
