07: Group Editor

Overview

A Group button represents a collection of local media buttons that are combined together to send to Program. For instance: if the user wants to always show a certain sponsor bug with a video, then a Group Button that holds both the video media button and the sponsor bug can be created.

A Group can also be used to launch media on multiple local Players at the same time. This allows the user to set up a ‘Moment of Exclusivity’ where they can send specific content to all outputs at the same time to change the look of the venue.

Create a group button

To create a Group Button:

1. Right-click an empty media button in the media page and select Create Group.
2. The Group Button Editor displays.

Add media button to a group

To add a media button to a group:

1. Select the button from the media page and drag-and-drop it into the Group Editor.
2. Each Media Button that you add appears in the Group list.

Delete media button from a group

To delete a media button from a group:

1. Select the media button in the list of media buttons and click Delete.
2. Click OK to accept changes.

Assign a custom thumbnail

By default, the system Group thumbnail is assigned to any Group media button. You can select a custom thumbnail by right-clicking any group member button and selecting Use thumbnail for Group.
