Customer Responsibilities
The Customer is solely responsible for:
- Installation of all AC, power, grounding, Gigabit network switching and cabling, audio and video cabling.
- Provision for and/or construction of any device, machine, racks or furniture for hosting servers and/or workstations.
- Installation, configuration and test of all third party equipment (examples: IT servers, workstations, network switches, routers, switchers, newsroom systems, prompters, automation, traffic system, etc.) as per Chyron recommendations.
- Installation, configuration and test of any network equipment that is not specifically covered in Chyron’s statement of work.
- Powering and connecting to the local network and internet the Chyron server(s) and Workstation(s).
- Setting up the appropriate network access including opening required ports and setting up antivirus and firewall rules as per Chyron recommendations
- Proper maintenance of Chyron servers and workstations including application of operating system (OS) patches (security packs, etc.) and maintenance updates (both for Chyron-supplied and Customer-supplied systems). Customer must consult with Chyron before applying major OS upgrades to verify compatibility and dependencies.
- Proper maintenance and update of 3rd party prerequisite software on Chyron servers and workstations (NVIDIA driver, Matrox driver, etc.) as per Chyron recommendations.
Chyron personnel must be provided with reasonable access to the Customer facilities accompanied by Customer personnel, a clean place to work, and access to the Internet when on-site.
Chyron shall cooperate with Customer security personnel in providing and obtaining any requested background information on any of Chyron’s employees, agents, subcontractors or other persons within their control who are to enter any Customer’s facilities while rendering the Services. Chyron shall remove and bar from such facilities any such persons who in the opinion of Customer present any risks to the personnel or operations of Customer.
