Via the Grabber or VLC player the Toolbox can send an audiovisual signal to your selected output. But what if you want to grab a video call while the Journalist is not in front of the computer but already in the studio? The Camera Return Signal functionality allows to ingest the signal from the studio and use it as camera signal on your video conference:
- Audio / Video Source: Activate/deactivate currently selected source
- Override: Press and hold to use the “alternative” source for either audio or video or both
Return Signal Settings
Audio, Video and Override Sources can be defined in:
SETTINGS > RETURN SIGNAL.
- Normal: The default Audio/Video source
- Override: The alternative Audio/Video source, for instance for intercom usage
- Shortcuts: Instead of using the Override Button the operator can also define custom shortcuts to activate Override sources
