Overview
AXIS Maps provides several export and rendering options to deliver finished map graphics to the broadcast production pipeline. Exports range from quick preview snapshots to high-quality production renders.
Still and Animation Rendering
The Maps Rendering services generate high-quality static images and animations from your maps. This is the primary export method for broadcast production. To export an asset:
- Ensure the map is in the desired state (camera, layers, styles, annotations).
- Select the output format and resolution (configured in Project Defaults > Output Formats or in Maps Settings > Assemble resolution if enabled).
- Click Assemble. The rendering service generates the asset in the background.
- Download and/or deliver to FTP the completed asset from the Assemble panel.
Note: Animation Assemble button is temporarily located under the Maps canvas (far right)
Output Formats
Available output formats and resolutions are defined in Project Defaults by your administrator. Common configurations include:
| Format | Typical Use |
| PNG, JPEG, WEBP | Still Output Formats |

Attribution
AXIS Maps ensures proper attribution to all third-party data providers, libraries, and contributors in accordance with their respective licensing terms. Attribution text is automatically included in exported map images as required by data provider agreements, including OpenStreetMap.
Note: Do not crop or remove attribution text from exported images, as this may violate the terms of service of the underlying data providers.
