Overview
AXIS Maps is accessible from any modern web browser. The platform runs on AWS cloud infrastructure, managed entirely by the Chyron Cloud Operations team, so no local installation or server configuration is required.
Logging In
To access AXIS Maps:
- Open Google Chrome (recommended browser).
- Enter the URL provided by your Chyron administrator (format: axis.chyron.com or a custom subdomain).
- Enter your credentials and click Sign In.
- If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), click the SSO button and authenticate through your identity provider (if configured).
Session Management
AXIS Maps includes an automatic session keep-alive that maintains your login during active editing sessions. If your session expires unexpectedly, reload the page to re-authenticate.
Navigating the Applications
After logging in, you can access the three applications from the main navigation:
| Application | Access |
| Map Editor | The default landing view. Click 'Map Editor' in the top navigation to return to it at any time. |
| Styles Editor | Click 'Styles Editor' in the navigation bar. Requires designer or administrator permissions. |
| Styles Manager | Click 'Styles Manager' in the navigation bar. Requires administrator permissions. |
Note: Users can only access applications appropriate to their assigned role. Contact your administrator if you need access to additional applications.
