Overview
Bookmarks allow you to capture, persist, and restore the complete editable state of a map as reusable snapshots. A bookmark represents a full map state at a specific moment — camera position, zoom, pitch, bearing, visible layers, and applied styles.
Bookmarks are the primary tool for preparing a sequence of map views for a broadcast segment, allowing operators to instantly recall specific map states.
Creating a Bookmark
- Configure the map to the desired state (camera position, layers, styles, annotations).
- Click the Bookmarks panel in the toolbar.
- Click + Add Bookmark.
- Enter a name for the bookmark (use descriptive names: 'Opening wide shot', 'Ukraine close-up', etc.).
- Click Save Bookmark. The bookmark appears in the Bookmarks panel.
Using and Managing Bookmarks
Bookmarks are organized within each map:

Bookmarks vs. Project Defaults
Bookmarks and Project Defaults serve different purposes:
| Feature | Purpose | Scope |
| Project Defaults | Baseline camera state when a new map is created | Project-level (applies to all new maps) |
| Bookmarks | Saved map states for quick recall during production | Map-level (specific to each individual map) |
